Panchakarma: Clinical Detox
Are you ready to reset your health and enhance well-being?
Do you seek a detoxification and rejuvenation process tailored to your personal health needs?
What is Panchakarma?
Panchakarma is the foremost detoxification protocol offered by Ayurvedic Medicine. When done well, Panchakarma can help individuals with chronic disease, and it can help prevent long-term illness and complex health issues. It has become increasingly popular in the Western hemisphere as the “ultimate detoxification program” because it offers a complete clinical program for the body, mind, and spirit.
Panchakarma is not only a powerful way to reset your health, it is an effective approach to maintaining wellness and cultivating longevity.
Panchakarma: “Five Actions”
Panchakarma means “five actions,” referring to the purifying processes of the body’s five main organs of elimination: the bowels, urinary tract, skin, lungs, and mind. Each of these main organs of elimination are naturally supported in doing their job by internal bodily processes. Panchakarma activates these organs and their elimination processes to safely and effectively purify the mind and body.
Panchakarma at Natural Rhythms
Panchakarma brings together Ayurveda’s vast spectrum of dietary, lifestyle, herbal, and body therapies, reflecting the core principle of natural medicine: “when balance is restored, health and wellbeing is inherent.” At Natural Rhythms, our Ayurvedic practitioner, Dr. Anup Mulakaluri, specializes in customizing this powerful and effective program to meet the specific needs of his patients. Curating individualized therapy protocols for each patient, he ensures that your mind, body, and spirit are supported for the duration of the three-stage treatment process.
A Program in 3 Stages
Panchakarma activates the organs of elimination through the five actions of purification, but it actually goes much deeper. The treatment programs involves three main stages, each designed to support and promote the process of successful detoxification and purification.
Purvakarma: The Preparation
Before performing Panchakarma, we begin with Purvakarma, the process of activating the elimination of toxins at the cellular and tissue levels. With the aid of herbal remedies, diet, daily routines, and, in some cases, counseling, Purvakarma occurs over 7-21 days as the body and mind are prepared for the elimination protocol (Panchakarma).

Panchakarma: Therapies and Protocol
In Panchakarma, we let go of all the physical, emotional, and spiritual toxins we have drawn to the surface during the Purvakarma stage. Using a wide range of Ayurvedic therapies specified to address each patient’s individual needs, the 5-7 days of the Panchakarma protocol are customized to activate the specific organs of elimination that will most effectively remove all toxins.

Paschyatkarma: Rejuvenation and Regeneration
Post-Panchakarma: the most important stage of going through the Panchakarma detox. Paschyatkarma is when the individual’s body, mind, and spirit are rejuvenated and regenerated. Supported by a customized nutritional guidance, a mindful approach to life, and recommended daily routines, the body, mind, and spirit regenerate during Paschyatkarma in ways that reverse disease and restore health.
